"I took to endurance sports as a way to stay healthy, pursue and push myself towards a challenging goal. 2010 was my newbie season doing mainly sprint triathlons and was hooked instantly. I started working with coach Gerardo after my first swim workout in the fall of 2010. Since then Gerardo has helped me with my swim, bike and run and given great guidelines on technique, efficiency and strengthening areas of weakness. I am always inspired by my fellow Fortius athletes to push the limits and the support I receive from them is amazing. There is much work ahead but I am confident that I will one day accomplish my goal of completing my first Ironman and hopefully thru the process be an example to my kids or anyone that anything is possible with hard work and determination."
