Ironman_FinisherFortius Coaching understands that Ironman Training is challenging enough on your own. In a group environment Fortius Coaching provides group camaraderie and support to get you through your Ironman race, whether it's your first or your fifth. The group provides motivation and accountability to help you keep up with your training. Our expert advice will prepare you for the ultimate in ultradistance multisport racing. With knowledgeable and expert leaders on the swim, bike, and run you will see improvement week to week.

Fortius Coaching Ironman Training Group Plan consists of:

  • Initial Assessment
  • Bi-Weekly Training Schedule
  • Group Runs
  • Group Rides
  • Two Weekly Group Swims at VNSO Pool (based on pool availability $75 extra)
  • Discounts on Clinics geared for the Ironman including Yoga, Nutrition, Transitions, etc.
  • Discounts on Nutrition, Massages, and Triathlon Gear
  • Discounts on camps and clinics
  • A Premium Training Peaks account is required. ($10 extra paid by athlete)

Fortius Coaching offers coached swim workouts structured to provide athletes with consistent training. To become better swimmers, triathletes need to swim at least 3 times per week and work on drills regularly and with precision. With our expert coaches on deck, you will see your swim technique improve. This is ideal for the beginner/intermediate swimmer who would prefer to be around other triathletes and want to work on their freestyle.

Tuesdays at 6:00-7:00 a.m. & 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Thursdays at 6:00-7:00 a.m. & 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Wednesday workouts will return in March 2012. 12:00 p.m.

Friday workouts will begin in February 2012. 7-8:00 a.m.

Coached Swim Workouts provide:

  • Drills to improve your swim technique
  • A progression of workouts to improve your speed and endurance
  • A Coach on deck who gives feedback on form and technique
  • A consistent group of swimmers to encourage and challenge you to become a better swimmer
  • Morning workouts aimed at long distance swimmers and coach may be in the water with the group
  • Evening workouts that are beginner-friendly with focus on technique and form.

Gerardo_CoachingFortius Coaching offers private lessons for those who need one-on-one attention in order to feel comfortable or sharpen your skills with any of the individual sports including strength training. A coach will provide a progression of skills to improve your technique and suggest drills to sharpen them.

Fortius Coaching offers additional services to help you achieve your endurance training goals. Coaches are available to accompany you on your swim, bike or run workout. If you don’t fuel properly you will not be able to complete your workouts. Do you need your coach to travel with you to provide guidance and support? Ask for details about any of these services.
